Vicky Kaushal opens up about his 'worst performance till date'!
Vicky Kaushal has received an immense amount of praise for his wide range of roles, making a lasting impression in movies like Sardar Udham, Raazi, Sanju, Uri, and more. As he prepares for what he calls his "toughest" role to date—Sam Bahadur—he could provide another captivating performance. At one point in the film's promotional campaign, Vicky called out what he believes to be his worst performance to date—Raman Raghav 2.0.
A newspaper spoke with Vicky Kaushal recently, and he discussed his movie Raman Raghav 2.0 and why he thought it was his worst performance. Vicky shared his thoughts on the film, which was directed by Anurag Kashyap. He called it a particularly dark and twisted tale between a police officer and a serial murderer. Although his mother was thrilled that he was playing a police officer, he disclosed that he had not told her the character's details.
Vicky frankly confessed, "To be very honest, I still feel that is my worst performance to date because at that time I felt like I hadn't lived through life experiences to get into the character's skin." Vicky imagined that he would approach and play the part differently and, no doubt, better with every five years of further life experience.
Vicky further revealed, "I fortunately come from a protective upbringing, and that is not what my character's life was. At the age of 25, when I was playing that part, there was a little bit of a gap that I had to fill to understand." Looking back, the actor admitted he wasn't able to close the gap. Even though he gave it his all, he now feels that if he were given the opportunity again, he could play that role with far more depth.
