Mehmood Junior's sad demise at 67 after long battle with stage four cancer!
Mehmood Junior, an experienced actor, has appeared in numerous movies. Throughout his long career, he consistently made moviegoers laugh aloud with his natural sense of humor and acting prowess. But regrettably, the 67-year-old actor lost his fight with stage 4 stomach cancer and died.
We are devastated to learn that renowned actor Mehmood Junior, who starred in movies including Caravan, Judaai, Dadagiri, Haathi Mere Saathi, and Mera Naam Joker, has passed away. The actor passed suddenly at his Mumbai home while receiving treatment for stage four stomach cancer, according to a daily newspaper.
Salam Kazi, a close friend of the seasoned actor, confirmed the reports, saying that the actor's condition declined and he was placed on life support. Sadly, though, he was unable to make it, Kazi remarked with tears in her eyes.
When his friend in the business, Johnny Lever, learned of his failing health, he supported him. In order to monitor his condition, the actor-comedian used to go see him every day. Following his encounter with Lever, Mehmood Junior declared his wish to see Sachin Pilgaonkar, Jeetendra, the Bollywood actor, and his old friend.
Jeetendra broke down in tears when he saw his friend and co-star in agony. Speaking about his visit, the actor told to a daily, “I am here by his bedside, but he is unable to recognize me. He is in so much pain, he is unable to open his eyes. To see him in this state breaks my heart. I have been coming to the Mount Mary Church for 25 years. When I learned of Junior’s health condition, I planned to visit him on my way to the church next Sunday. But Johnny reached out to me on Monday night, urging a quick visit,” he concluded.
