Ali Fazal to play a lead role opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Rakht Brahmand!

Right now, Ali Fazal's personal and professional lives are at their best. Recently, he and his spouse Richa Chadha had a daughter. In the meantime, he returned to the role of Guddu Pandit in Mirzapur Season 3, which once again won over the admirers. According to recent reports, Ali Fazal has been cast opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the pivotal role of Rakht Brahmand.

Ali Fazal is slated to star in the next period fantasy thriller Rakht Brahmand, which is being directed by Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame and helmed by Raj & DK, after the success of Mirzapur Season 3. A person with intimate knowledge of the project described it as "a marvelous vision" and a breakthrough for the fantasy drama subgenre.

 

It has also been disclosed that the show's whole cast has been decided upon. The filming of a six-episode limited series will begin in Mumbai the following week.

 

"Ali will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects. The show can to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be part of the series. It’s a really interesting part, something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre-wise,” the source further revealed.

It is noteworthy to add that Wamiqa Gabbi and Aditya Roy Kapur play important roles in the ensemble star cast of the drama.

The Family Fan, Guns & Gulaabs, and Farzi are just a some of the critically praised programs that the creative director team Raj & DK is known for.

 

The movie will be released on November 29, 2024, in theatres.
