Filmmaker Amar Kaushik, who made his directorial debut with Stree in 2018, is enjoying the success of its sequel, Stree 2. The recently released horror comedy, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has gained popularity. While the team continues to celebrate the film's success, a controversy has emerged around an alleged public relations campaign over the credit war. Following Aparshakti Khurana, director Amar Kaushik recently responded to the credit battle, questioning whether it impacted the bond between the cast.

During a media chat, Amar Kaushik expressed his thoughts on the continuing credit war, claiming that it is a typical behavior on social media. Amar said that he went on vacation to get away from the noise.

The filmmaker added that fans engage in a "social media war" to prove that their favorite actor deserves credit for a film's success.

Emphasizing on the performance of Stree 2 in theaters, Amar said, "When a film does well, people around [the stars] feed such things in the minds of everyone, including the cast, that they should get credit for the movie. Hence, I just went for a vacation to stay away from the noise."

The director stated that after reaching a certain box office threshold, people become engrossed in such "social media games".

Amar Kaushik, the director of Stree 2, was also asked if the credit war had an impact on the actors' relationships. The filmmaker revealed that their relationship has "gotten better," so much so that the crew created a humorous movie about the credit fight.

When asked about the destiny of the recently released horror comedy, Amar attributed its success to the entire cast and crew. The filmmaker stated that others who toiled behind the scenes also deserve it.

Citing examples of VFX work and the staff member who voiced Sarkata, the director stated that the film would not have had the same effect without their contributions. The director underlined that, while his team, including the cast and crew, is recognized for its accomplishment, their level of appreciation differs.
