Bollywood celebs light diyas during the #9baje9minute call!

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and urged all citizens to light diyas and candles on Sunday at 9 pm for 9 minutes as a sign of unity amidst the Coronavirus pandemic and to show respect for the doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and others working on the field during the ongoing COVID 19 crisis.

 

On PM's appeal, Bollywood celebs too took part in this noble event and shared photos and videos of themselves on their social media handles. Shilpa Shetty, Karan Johar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Parineeti Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan, Arjun Rampal are a few to name who stood in solidarity and lighted diyas for the event.

 

Akshay shared a photo of himself lighting a diya in his balcony and captioned his post as "Together we stand and together we will come out of this dark phase. Till then stay strong, stay safe #9Baje9Minute."

 

Shilpa Shetty lighted a candle and telling, "Lights all around, even the moon is shining, such a wonderful time to show our solidarity. Everything is gonna be alright and we will fight this together."

 

Karan Johar lighted torch and flashlight with his kids Yash and Ruhi and wrote, "Let there be light.....there is light at the end of this dark tunnel...."

 

Kriti Sanon too prayed for the health of people and posted a photo as she wrote, "Because it’s always a good time to pray.. For love, health and happiness.. #weareinthistogether #LetThereBeLight"

 

Neil Nitin Mukesh he too lighted a candle and shared his photo.

 

Kartik Aaryan took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of him holding the diya during the #9baje9minute call. Kartik Aaryan wrote, "Together, everything is Possible."

 

Nushrat Bharucha lighted candles with her mother and wrote, "And that's how we Light Up!#InsideOut #9Baje9Minute,"

 

Sonu Sood shared a picture of himself lighting up candles and wrote, "#9baje9minute,"

 

Actress Janhvi Kapoor also shared her picture of holding on to a candle to show support for the #9baje9minute call.
